My Vision for Ventura Schools

I believe Ventura Unified should be a district where students, parents, teachers, and staff feel welcomed, respected, and supported. Our schools should prepare students not only for graduation, but for meaningful and productive lives. By bringing people together and putting students first, we can create schools that foster academic excellence, practical skills, personal growth, and strong community partnerships.

Education is about far more than preparing students for standardized tests or college admissions. Education should help students discover their strengths, develop practical skills, build character, and prepare for meaningful and productive lives. Academic excellence is important, along with inclusive special education and mental health reform, career pathways with vocational opportunities, and ethical fiscal management.
